A year has already passed since our partnership started with the activities of the Erasmus+ SuMoS project. And there wouldn’t be a better way to say “Happy Birthday SuMoS” than with WP2 Institutional Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME) highlights!
WP2 Institutional Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME) a work package that started in October 2024. and lasted until September 2025. consisted of 9 activities. The first step was the creation of the initial ISME framework, achieved by conducting case study research at partner institutions, collecting and analyzing students’ feedback on the mobility survey, and holding local workshops for both academic and non-academic staff. This process enabled the collection of valuable information and insights to inform the development of ISME and its findings.
As this WP was compiled in its entirety and finalized, we have decided to provide all stakeholders and target groups with valuable information as SuMoS project ISME highlights.
In WP2 Institutional Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME) highlights all interests and target groups can find out more about:
- SWOT analyses of the student mobility ecosystem in partner countries
- Responsibilities for enhancing the number of students in credit mobility
- Motivations and barriers for student mobility
- Roles and responsibilities within the student mobility ecosystem
- Challenges faced by International Relations Offices
- Metrics for evaluating the ecosystem and effects of student mobility
Also, as an important part of ISME highlights, all target groups can explore the student mobility ecosystem interaction with an interactive visualisation that maps out key stakeholders and processes involved.
The final part is dedicated to the recommendations for ISME improvements, that is grouped into the following categories:

- Managing of Inter-Institutional Agreements
- Promotion of credit mobility opportunities
- Application to host university
- Development of the Learning Agreement
- Preparation for departure
- Recognition of study abroad period
- Tools supporting student mobility
