SuMoS partners held local workshops for academic and non-academic staff at their respective faculties and universities during May and June. A total of more than 60 participants attended SuMoS workshops in five project partner countries.
SuMoS workshops had a unified agenda for all partners, which started with the introduction of the SuMoS project, followed by a presentation and discussion about the Institutional Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME).
The SuMoS team spent several months “getting the lay of the land” by charting out the International Student Mobility Ecosystem (ISME) framework, carrying out case studies within the partner institutions to compare strategies, procedures and processes surrounding student mobility, and finally by surveying the students themselves to get their point of view on the motivations and barriers inherent to international student mobility.
During the workshop, the aim was to gather feedback from all relevant stakeholders to enrich the results, which represent the starting point for further development of ISME. As a final workshop result, participants collaboratively created a SWOT analysis, identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the credit mobility system in their countries.
In the end, after extensive rounds of discussion and a SWOT analysis, workshop conclusions and ideas for improving the student mobility ecosystem will be incorporated and included as part of the project results in the upcoming months.
